Candace Lamberton Littleford passed away on December 28, 2023 with her sister and cousin by her side. She courageously fought her fourth and final battle with cancer during the past 5 years. She was 68 years old. She is survived by her loving family, friends, and her faithful dog, Abbe.
Candy was born on June 17, 1955 in Orange Memorial Hospital, now known as Orlando Health. She grew up in Delaney Park and attended Blankner Elementary and Cherokee Junior High School. Later, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland with her parents where she attended Seton High School.
Candy loved all animals, butterflies, music, dancing, swimming, card parties, walking on the beach and travel. She especially loved a bicycle trip through Austria with her sister and brother-in-law celebrating her 50th birthday. She was also fortunate to travel to Europe many times with her mother and her sisters. A favorite trip was with her mother, sisters, niece and nephews. She was a great-aunt who was delighted to receive pictures and cards from the children. In her final weeks, she requested that the cards be displayed where she could see them from her bed. She treasured viewing videos and pictures of her great -niece who resides in Arizona.
A service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 14th at 3 pm at the Cathedral Church of Saint Luke, 130 North Magnolia Avenue. A reception will follow at the Rosalind Club at 11 North Rosalind Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Orange County Animal Services, 2769 Conroy Road, Orlando, 32839.
