Betty McPherson, born Betty Deborah Quigley in Cleveland, Ohio on October 21, 1921, studied at Baldwin-Wallace College and married Alexander McPherson, a pilot in the Army Air Corps in August of 1942.
She lived two years with her family in Tokyo, Japan and then 60 years in Orlando, Florida. She was a long time Grey Lady and volunteered at Orange Memorial Hospital and managed the gift shop there in the 1980's.
She is survived by her son Professor Alex McPherson, three grandsons and two great grandchildren. Her ashes will be interred at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Stuart, Florida next to those of her husband Alexander.
