Barbara J. Saylors, 81, went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. She was born on April 24, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to Clarence and Calla Taylor. She grew up in West Virginia with eight siblings.
She married her sweetheart, John, in 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida. Although she grew up in a large family, Barbara only wanted two children of her own. She asked the Lord for a son and daughter, and they welcomed Wayne in 1970 and Nancy in 1974. She loved to bake cookies for her children when they were little and continued the tradition with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She was known as "Grandmommy" to them and loved to spoil them rotten, as every grandparent should.
Barbara worked as a secretary for various companies and organizations, including her church. She was a strong woman and survived breast cancer two separate times and was known for her strong faith in the Lord. She loved the times she volunteered at the hospital and was very active in her Church and Women's Club. She was a loving mother, Grandmommy, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed greatly.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Calla Taylor, her husband, John Saylors, her son, Wayne Saylors, her sister, Helen Taylor, and two brothers, Dennis Taylor, and Thomas Taylor. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Rudolph, her son-in-law, Philip Rudolph; three grandchildren, Madison, Philip (Ben), and Kaylee; her sisters Ann Kidd, Joyce Thornton, Brenda Taylor, June Barnard; her brother, Wayne Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
