Arvie Ruth Curenton

Arvie Ruth Curenton passed away on November 17, 2024. She has been moving forward for 87 years. She is loved by her son, Eric and her six sisters and stepbrother, and two grandchildren. Her older son Brian, and her husband Gerald, went before to pave the way.

She was married to Gerald for 35 long loving years. Her son, Brian, sailed the seven seas in a submarine for 5 years, he passed away in 2011. He was a linguist. The angels took him away. Gerald flew away in 1993. Think they will meet her at the golden gates.

She was the oldest of seven girls; and when she was about twelve, she became ‘Mother Ruth’. She was in charge of the cooking and seeing that the younger girls did their assigned jobs and homework as her mom went to work in the shirt factory. The family moved to Florida. Ruth graduated from Samson High School just before the move.

She got a job at the First National Bank in Winter Garden and worked at other banks until she retired. In retirement she helped out at her church with sewing and spent time helping out family. Ruth leaves behind her son Eric, daughter-in-law Della, grandchildren, Christina and Jordan. Also, her six sisters and brother.
