Anne Rosina De Lacey (90), went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2016 after battling cancer. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 18, 1926 to Richard and Maria E. Robey. Anne was raised in Baltimore and graduated from Western High School.
In 1955, Anne and her family moved to Orlando, Florida where she met her soulmate and partner of 22 years, Dr. David Lynn. Anne worked at American Fire and Casualty and later as a manager for American States Insurance Company. She retired in 1991.
Anne loved her family and they were blessed to have her in their lives. She also loved animals, especially cats. She raised over 20 pets throughout her lifetime. Anne was also a talented artist and she enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling.
She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winter Park, Florida, and she attended regularly throughout her life. She also attended First Baptist Church in downtown Orlando for a season. Anne enjoyed studying the Bible and worked through numerous Bible studies. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and she loved Him deeply. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who gave generously. She willingly sacrificed so she could help her family.
Anne's family loved her dearly and she will be sorely missed, but they look forward to the day when they will be reunited in Heaven.
Anne leaves behind: her daughter, Colleen; her grandchildren: Michelle Tyson, Michael Schweickert, Jenny Schweickert, Jamie Young (John), Julie Schweickert, Christian Tyson, Cassaundra Tyson, and Jesse Schweickert; her great-grandchildren: Annora Schweickert, David Durandette, Austin Schweickert, Abbygayle Schweickert, and Asher Schweickert.
She was preceeded in death by: Dr. David Lynn; her parents: Richard and Maria E. Robey; her sister: Lucille Bundick; her grand-daughter: Kimberly Bays; and her great-grandson: Alan (AJ) Dixon.
The viewing for Anne De Lacey will be held on Friday, October 28 from 6pm-8pm at Carey Hand Colonial Chapel: 2811 Curry Ford Road Orlando, FL 32806. The funeral service will be held at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Orlando Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789 on Saturday, October 29 at 11am, with a luncheon to follow.
